ECM has an investment team of 38 Research Analysts and Portfolio Managers with a broad range of asset class and sector expertise.
As an active manager of diversified credit portfolios, we believe that a large investment team is essential in order to identify the best opportunities in the credit market, and to avoid the "losers" (downgrades and defaults).
The Research Analysts and Portfolio Managers each bring a different perspective to the investment process. Our Research Analysts focus predominantly on fundamental credit analysis, while our Portfolio Managers monitor and assess market technical situations and relative value. The Investment Committee, which includes our CEO and CIO, makes decisions on an integrated basis, with both Portfolio Managers and Research Analysts contributing to ECM's overall investment strategy. Research has the right of veto on all purchase decisions.
