ECM is a specialist fixed income manager, established in February 1999 to take advantage of opportunities in the fast growing European credit market.
Over the past ten years we have become a major player in the fixed income markets. Apart from investment grade corporate bonds, we also cover asset backed securities, bank capital, leveraged loans, and high yield and European emerging market debt. We currently manage around Eur 12 billion of assets on behalf of a diversified institutional client base.
ECM's majority owner is Wells Fargo & Company (AA- rated), one of the largest financial services companies in the United States. ECM is fortunate to benefit from the strength and stability of its parent company, however as a specialist boutique manager, the company is strongly committed to maintaining ECM's operational autonomy, brand name and independent investment process.
In February 2009, ECM's asset manager rating of M2+ was affirmed by Fitch.
